'Tragic development' as body found in search for missing woman Holly Whittaker

The body of a woman who had been missing for more than a week has sadly been found.
Holly Whittaker, 28, was last seen in the Mapperley area of Nottingham on September 4. Police had been searching ever since, until a body was found on Queen's Road in the city centre on Tuesday afternoon.
Nottinghamshire Police confirmed the body has been formally identified as Ms Whittaker. Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
Detective Chief Inspector Claire Gould said: "Our specially trained officers are supporting Holly's family at this difficult time, following yesterday's tragic development. While the circumstances are still being investigated, at this time, we are not treating her death as suspicious."
She added: "We would like to thank everyone who came forward with any information or shared our public appeals since Holly was first reported missing. A file will now be prepared for the coroner as our investigations continue."
