Three Arrested in Wolverhampton Raids Following Seven-Month GMP Drugs Probe

Greater Manchester Police, working alongside West Midlands Police, have arrested three individuals following a pair of raids in Wolverhampton on Wednesday, October 7.

The operation is the culmination of a seven-month inquiry into an illicit drug distribution network, led by GMP's Serious Organised Crime Group.

During a search of a property on Penn Road, officers detained a man in his 60s on suspicion of conspiracy to supply controlled drugs. Authorities reported seizing roughly £1,000 in cash alongside 50 Class C pills at this location.

A second warrant executed at Stephen Close resulted in the arrest of a teenager, suspected of involvement in drug supply and motor vehicle theft. A woman in her 40s was also held at the address on suspicion of drug supply and child endangerment.

According to police, officers recovered a stolen motorcycle and approximately 2,000 Class B tablets from the second property. Investigators noted that suspected drug-related blister packs were discovered inside a baby's cot.

All three suspects currently remain in police custody for questioning.

Detective Inspector Rich McCorry stated that the investigation remains ongoing, emphasising the force's commitment to dismantling organised crime groups and protecting vulnerable individuals, particularly children, from exposure to harmful substances.
