The woman, aged in her 20s, was found unresponsive at a property near the park on Sunday evening and was rushed to hospital, where she sadly died.

A woman in her 20s has sadly died after emergency services were called to Didsbury Park in south Manchester.

Police were called at around 6.15pm on Sunday (June 21) following "reports of a concern for welfare." The woman was found unresponsive at a property on the road, close to the park.

Several ambulance vehicles attended the scene and the air ambulance also reportedly landed. The woman was rushed to hospital where she sadly died.

A GMP spokesperson said: "Officers responded to an incident at Didsbury Park, Manchester at around 6.15pm on Sunday following reports of a concern for welfare. One woman, aged in her 20s, was found unresponsive. She was taken to hospital where, despite best efforts of medical staff, she sadly died. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full details."
