Greater Manchester Motorway Closures: M60, M62, and M6 Disruption This Week

Drivers across Greater Manchester face extensive overnight motorway closures this week. National Highways has confirmed works on routes including the M60, M62, M6, M56, M61, M66, M67 and A56 from Monday (September 28) to Thursday (October 1).

Most closures begin between 8pm and 10pm and lift by 5am or 6am. The M67 between junctions 3 and 4 is closed every night this week from 8pm to 6am.

What are the main closures to watch?

The M6 northbound between junctions 20 and 21 is shut on Monday and Tuesday nights. On Wednesday the M6 southbound closes between junctions 21a and 20. On Thursday the M6 southbound closes between junction 30 and the M61 junction 9.

The M62 eastbound between junctions 22 and 24 is shut on Wednesday and Thursday nights, with junctions 9 to 10 closed on Monday and Tuesday. The M60 anticlockwise between junctions 14 and 13 closes on Wednesday and Thursday from midnight.

The M66 southbound from junction 4 to the M60 clockwise junction 18 is shut on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.

The A56 northbound near Edenfield is closed on Monday and Tuesday nights.
