A vehicle fire on the M6 southbound caused delays on Monday afternoon (September 28).
Three of four lanes were closed at junction 24 for Ashton-in-Makerfield, with traffic queuing back to junction 23. The closure was gradually reduced to one lane as recovery work took place before all lanes reopened by around 4.53pm.
Inrix said: "One lane closed and very slow traffic due to recovery work and earlier vehicle fire on M6 Southbound at J24 A58 Liverpool Road (Ashton In Makerfield)."
