Akon brings a three-night Co-op Live residency in early May (Friday 1, Saturday 2, and Wednesday 6 May), the kind of run that's becoming increasingly common at Manchester's newest mega-venue.
What to expect
A three-night residency from one of the biggest pop-R&B acts of the 2000s, performing all the hits you remember from the era when Akon ruled the charts (Smack That, Don't Matter, I Wanna Love You, Lonely) plus newer material from his Konvict catalogue. Multi-night residencies at Co-op Live have become a feature of the venue's programming and the production tends to be more lavish than a standard one-off date.
