Weekend Brunch at Mackie Mayor
Venue
Mackie Mayor
1 Eagle Street, M4 5BU
Mackie Mayor's weekend brunch is one of the great Manchester rituals. The Victorian market hall fills up by 11am with families, hangover sufferers, and the kind of group that's planning to stay until 3pm and somehow ends up drinking until 7.
What to expect
Manchester's busiest weekend brunch destination. Mackie Mayor is a beautifully restored Victorian market hall on the edge of the Northern Quarter with multiple food traders under one roof and long communal tables. From around 10am on Saturdays and Sundays, the place fills up with families, hangover sufferers, and groups settling in for the long haul. The trick is to order from multiple counters: coffee from Pot Kettle Black, eggs from Honest Crust, a bao from Baohouse, and a Bloody Mary from Reserve Wines.
